Oak Tree House

Oaktree House is a residential care home for older people located in the village of Preston. Preston is about 1 mile from the market town of Hedon and 6 miles from Hull. We can provide 24 hour care to older people who have a range of long term conditions including people living with Dementia and Parkinson’s Disease.

We offer full time care, respite care and day care. Respite care and day care can help families who are in need of a break and they can rest easy knowing their family member is safe and is being looked after.

At Oaktree House, we believe that being as independent as possible, remaining active and being stimulated are very important. We offer a range of activities within the home which are tailored to suit each individual.

Our team works closely with family members to gather detailed information about the individual. This includes their likes and dislikes, abilities and needs. From this information we can create a care plan that is person centered and reflects the person.

We encourage the individual to have an array of their personal belongings so they have familiar things around them. This also helps create a warm and friendly environment for them and their family. We value the support and involvement of families and friends and ensure that we have excellent communication with them. This reassures them and demonstrates that their loved ones are being cared for appropriately and that they are happy, safe and stimulated.We are able to care for people through all stages of their life, including end of life care.

We strive to meet the ever changing needs of individuals and will seek additional support from other health professionals where needed. We work closely with the local GP service and District Nursing service to ensure all needs are met.
